medicine & thread is a female-founded, family-rooted small business born from tradition, love, and shared knowledge. What began as lessons passed down from our mother and father has grown into a creative partnership between two sisters dedicated to honoring our culture through beadwork, crafts, and teachings.

At 29, I carry a deep passion for our heritage — from history and art to traditional herbs and cultural practices. My vision is to thoughtfully weave the modern with the traditional, creating pieces that respect where we come from while embracing where we are going.

My sister, 34 this year, pours her heart into the craft and cooking ways of our people. Her hands carry patience, skill, and care — whether she is beading, creating, or preparing traditional foods. Together, we make a strong and balanced team, blending creativity with lived knowledge.

At the heart of everything we do is our mother, 64 this year — our teacher, our guide, and the keeper of knowledge. She carries generations of teachings and is dedicated to passing down everything she can so that we may continue the work and share it forward. When the three of us teach together, we are a force to be reckoned with — grounded in tradition, strengthened by family, and united in purpose.

To create and sell meaningful handmade work, to teach what we know along the way, and to share knowledge openly with those who ask. Through beadwork, craft, herbs, and storytelling, we hope to keep our culture alive, thriving, and evolving for generations to come.
